Outside of my professional and educational interests, I enjoy walking, socializing with others, and dabbling in various art forms--painting, micrographies, poetry, collages, knitting, and clay. I also enjoy cooking, playing with my pets (3 dogs, 1 cat), volunteering, and taking photos of nature and found objects/objects I find unique or interesting.

 

Fun Facts:

• I love knitting so much that I designed a 1-credit course around it! My syllabus (see here) was so comprehensive and detailed that the committee overseeing the approval of student course proposals now use it as template for other students' syllabi.

• As previously noted, I enjoy volunteering. My passion for volunteering was so strong that I was UCR MESA's (Mathematics, Engineering, Scientific Achievement) most consistent and active volunteer, having volunteered at every competition event held during the school year from 2017 until 2020 when COVID-19 policies were implemented.
